Life at ABC

Play hard. Stand tall. Belong.

Sport, NCC, culture, service and learning that goes beyond the classroom — photographed this year at Our ABC Academy.

Sport

Kho Kho is our game.

Kho Kho is the sport this school is known for. Our teams compete at state and national level, and in August 2026 Our ABC Academy hosted the CBSE Cluster I Kho Kho Tournament, welcoming school teams, officials and umpires from across the cluster.

Alongside Kho Kho, students train in judo, athletics, cricket and volleyball, and the whole school comes together on the court for yoga. Physical education is on the timetable at every stage.

NCC & national days

Discipline, in step.

Our ABC Academy runs an active NCC Army Wing. Cadets drill on campus, attend camps, and lead the school's Republic Day parade on the court.

It is our clearest answer to a question parents ask in different words: how does a school teach self-discipline? By giving a young person a responsibility that other people are relying on.

Culture & festivals

Rooted in Assam.

The calendar of Assam is the calendar of the school. Students dance in mekhela sador on the court and on stage, recite, sing, and mark Saraswati Puja together.

Houses compete in everything from sport to cooking — at the house food festival each house sets out home cooking for the whole school.

Early years

Big days for small people.

Our youngest learn through play, colour and movement: crayons at every desk, ball-and-bucket races on sports day, and costumes made from paper and leaves for World Environment Day.

The foundational years end with Graduation Day — caps, gowns, certificates and a great deal of pride.

Beyond the classroom

Learning that leaves the room.

Students walk the rows of a working farm to see how food is grown, build working models for the library exhibition, and pack the hall for Questival, the school quiz festival.

The point is always the same: to ask the questions a textbook cannot answer on its own.

Service & health

Care, organised.

The Interact Club of Our ABC Academy, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Tinsukia, runs health camps at the school with general and dental check-ups for students across every class.

Service here is planned and led by students, with teachers alongside — not a single charity drive a year.
