About us

Twenty-three years of purposeful learning.

A CBSE school founded in 2003 by the Jai Tulsi Educational Trust, named after Aryabhatta, and rooted in Borguri, Tinsukia.

Our story

Built for Tinsukia's children.

Our ABC Academy opened in 2003 with a simple purpose: to give the children of Tinsukia and Upper Assam an English-medium CBSE education that stands comparison with any in the country, without sending them away from home to get it.

It has grown class by class into a complete school — Nursery to Class XII, with Science and Commerce in the senior years, separate hostels for boys and girls, and an NCC Army Wing. The school's Class X and Class XII students have a record of 100% results in the CBSE board examinations.

We are named after Aryabhatta, the mathematician and astronomer who asked how things actually work and was not satisfied until he knew. That is the habit of mind we most want to teach.

Vision & values

What the school is for.

Four commitments that shape every decision we make.

Competence with conscience

That every student who leaves us is academically capable, personally disciplined and useful to the community they return to.

Teach the child, not the class

Small-group attention, remedial hours on the timetable, and assessment used to diagnose — never just to rank.

Aligned to NEP 2020

The five-stage structure, experiential and project-based learning, and continuous assessment — in practice, not on paper.

Nothing hidden

Affiliation, staffing, infrastructure and results are published openly, as CBSE requires and as parents deserve.

Rooted in Assam

Assamese language, Bihu and the region's festivals are part of the school calendar and of who our students are.

Service as habit

The Interact Club and NCC turn service into something students plan and run themselves, all year.

Leadership

Led with care.

The school is led by its Principal, Mr. Narayan Upadhyaya (M.A. (English), B.Ed.), and managed by the Jai Tulsi Educational Trust, which founded the Academy in 2003.

Parents are welcome to meet the Principal. Ask at the office during working hours, or call +91 60338 60003 to arrange a time.
